About Program

The Vanavil Children’s Home offers a safe, supportive, and caring environment for 39 children, most of whom are young girls under the age of ten, though a few boys also stay with us. These children often come from challenging circumstances — some have single parents, others have experienced family breakdowns, or have no secure home to return to. We welcome them into a nurturing environment where they are protected from risks such as begging, child marriage, and abuse.

At the Home, we provide not only nutritious meals and shelter, but also take complete responsibility for their education — from early schooling all the way through college. We actively support their health and wellbeing, organizing regular medical check-ups and health camps to ensure no need goes unattended.

Beyond academics, children are encouraged to learn vocational and life skills, including tailoring, basket weaving, and traditional palm crafts. These skills foster independence and creativity.

They also participate in a range of sports and cultural activities — from playing Ultimate Frisbee to performing with our cultural troupe. In collaboration with the CLE Trust, Bangalore, we also run online academic classes to strengthen their learning in key subjects.

It’s a small gift from you, a big change for them.
