Dinesh is an accomplished IT professional with a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years . He currently drives Digital Engineering Solutions team at Virtua Corporation, an American-based global Information Technology services company. His career has been marked by service in global IT service organizations, where he has catered to the needs of large insurance and healthcare companies across the United States, Europe, and various Asian geographies. Beyond his professional endeavors, Dinesh is passionate about long-distance running and trekking the picturesque Himalayas. Kalpana is a tenured Vice President at Goldman Sachs, Bengaluru and leads the firm’s Engineering data office. Her work includes building data platforms, measuring and monitoring data quality and furthering Goldman Sachs' data governance program. In her free time, Kalpana is a (very) amateur golfer and also loves to trek in the Himalayas, read, scuba dive and attend music concerts.Trustee
Ramesh is an engineer from NIT, Trichy and MBA from IIM Lucknow. At Olam, a Singapore based USD 40B company, he founded and was the CEO of Financial Services business. From 2017, after leaving Olam, Ramesh has taught Finance at premier management institutes, taught middle school Math, and has been training 100s of teachers across the country on how to teach math in a creative and engaging way. Ramesh is also an investor in many start ups and is currently a faculty at YogaKshema, an organization that focused on bringing the latest advancements in neuroscience to improve quality of life.Board Member
Vardini is an educator and Researcher working on the issues of Nomadic Tribes. Trained as an engineer and having worked in tech for a while Vardini moved into Education after her volunteering stint with Vanavil. She has been associated with Vanavil for the last ten years as a volunteer and spent two years on ground donning the roles of School Lead and Fundraising Manager. She is presently an Inlaks Fellow conducting Participatory research about the socio economic status of the Boom Boom Maatukarar Community in Tamilnadu.None
Devi is a software engineer by profession. Her engineering career spanned a couple of decades across two continents and included an entrepreneurial stint as founder of a start up in Silicon Valley. She has been involved with Vanavil from day one in various capacities. Over the last seven years, she has immersed herself in Vanavil by catapulting online fund raising and stream lining finances. She also serves as an advisory board member. An avid traveler, she dabbles in watercolor painting and photography in her free time.None
Emaya is a doctoral student and researcher at the Center of Excellence in Teacher Education at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. She worked as a program coordinator with Vanavil for three years starting in 2012 and has been associated with Vanavil since then.None
Veni is a Social Worker, who is in the social sector for more than 23 years as an activist, organiser, trainer, translator and writer, has held posts in social organisations and has facilitated various campaigns to accelerate social change. She has been part of Vanavil from its early days and is part of the Advisory Board currently.None
Senthil Babu is currently a researcher in the Department of Social Sciences, at the French Institute of Pondicherry. Trained as a historian of science, he is shaping a research programme on Nature, Knowledge and Labour, devoted to the historical and contemporary study of knowledge practices in culture, with a commitment to develop a critical and democratic ethos in the interface of the people, the State and the institutional world of knowledge production.
